Done.
Done. Done. Done!
Packages are shipped (and I'm now even less impressed with the USPS).
Cards are done and stuffed and sealed.
My dining room table is actually a dining room table again.
Little Ken has gotten into the last of the wrapping paper, ribbon, and envelopes (for now).
Tomorrow = we get our tree!!!!
Sunday = I shall decorate while playing Mannheim Steamroller.
I need to make bread in here somewhere, although I warned The Husband yesterday that I'm reaching the point where I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to do it. It's not hard, but the kneading winds me and I have to sit down for 15 minutes afterward just to recover! I will be sad to switch to store bread, but oh well. Facts of life are facts of life, and there are other things that need my energy more than homemade bread.
I have an overabundance of kiwis sitting in my kitchen. And living room. I'm trying to decide what to do with them all aside from fruit salads and eating them straight (which, don't get me wrong, is really really good). I read I can freeze them and it doesn't break down the pectin so they're essentially the same when they thaw, but I'm not sure I believe that. I'm contemplating pureeing a bunch and then freezing the puree in ice cube trays or something to use in sauces/ toppings or smoothies later. Anyone have any other ideas?
You know what sounds really good right now? A grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough. Alas, I have no sourdough. But I still might make the grilled cheese sandwich...
